Educational Requirements for the Research Associate Role:
- Masterโs degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related field
- OR Bachelorโs degree in Biological Sciences with relevant experience
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology techniques
Key Responsibilities of the Research Associate Role:
- Perform routine laboratory assignments following SOPs that enhance your research career
- Support cell line generation and execution of cell-based assays
- Recognize deviations in procedures and report accordingly
- Work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and follow detailed instructions for new tasks
- Maintain compliance with GLP, GMP, international standards, and company SOPs
- Operate major laboratory instruments and assist with maintenance
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with equipment vendors
- Contribute to departmental goals and overall lab operations
- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-department assistance
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
Skills Required for the Research Associate Role:
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, and mammalian cell culture
- Ability to follow SOPs and perform routine tasks independently
- Quick learner with the ability to operate and maintain scientific instruments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
Physical Skills & Abilities:
- Stand, sit, or walk for long periods
- Lift up to 10 lbs routinely
- Wear PPE and work with chemicals, biohazards, and lab animals
- Perform repetitive motions and navigate variable temperatures
- Ability to distinguish colors and work in indoor/outdoor conditions
