Educational Requirements for the Microbiology Technician Role:
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, Or a related scientific field
- Laboratory coursework or hands-on lab experience is required
Key Responsibilities of the QA Micro Tech Role:
- In this Microbiology Technician role, you have to collect and prepare samples for microbiological testing
- Perform microbial colony counts and accurately record results
- Collect and prepare environmental samples
- Operate laboratory equipment including microbiological plating systems and pH meters
- Prepare laboratory solutions and media for testing
- Complete laboratory data worksheets, logs, and daily reports accurately
- Enter and maintain testing data in company systems
- Communicate results confidentially and professionally to appropriate personnel
- Identify unusual results or product defects and notify Quality leadership in this QA Micro Tech Role.
- Perform re-checks for analytical and microbiological tests as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked laboratory workspace
- Follow all GMPs, GLPs, and safety procedures
- Support special studies and quality projects as assigned
Skills Required for the QA Micro Tech Role:
- Basic laboratory and microbiological testing skills
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and sanitation practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to operate laboratory instrumentation accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt
