Educational Requirements for the Laboratory Technician Role:

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a related natural science (strongly preferred)

Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in a Quality Control or microbiology environment
Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze environmental monitoring samples
- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Utilize laboratory automation systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze and communicate laboratory data to support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support issue resolution through timely and accurate reporting
- Provide cross-coverage for team members to support business continuity
- Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned
Skills Required for the Laboratory Technician Role:
- Knowledge of conventional and rapid microbiological techniques
- Experience in a QC or regulated laboratory environment
- Strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
