Position Summary
The Scientist – Raw Material Testing is responsible for performing physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), raw materials, and finished pharmaceutical products. This role supports GMP/GLP laboratory operations, method transfers, and data integrity while delivering high-quality analytical results to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental testing of APIs, raw materials, and finished pharmaceutical products.
- Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
- Independently operate analytical instrumentation, including:
- HPLC
- UV/Vis Spectrophotometry
- Karl Fischer (Coulometric & Volumetric)
- Chromatographic systems
- Compendial testing (USP, EP, JP)
- Execute method transfer and feasibility studies.
- Review laboratory data to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with GMP/GLP requirements.
- Interpret analytical procedures, compendia, and internal SOPs.
- Process data, generate reports, and evaluate results.
- Author investigations and contribute to project leadership within assigned test areas.
- Support cross-functional laboratory activities as needed (QA, microbiology, chemistry).
Minimum Qualifications for Biology Jobs at Eurofins
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- (Equivalent experience: 2 years of directly related industry experience = 1 year of college coursework.)
- 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
