Educational Requirements for Research Scientist role:
PhD in microbiology, biotechnology, or chemical engineering
Key Responsibilities for Research Scientist role:
- To develop and scale microbial cell culture processes for Croda’s biotechnology pipeline
- Transfer laboratory and pilot processes to industrial-scale production
- Collaborate with internal production teams and external partners
- To Support commercial, IP, regulatory, application, and marketing teams to ensure successful process implementation
Skills Required for Research Scientist role:
- The candidates are expected to have experience in strain engineering, culture, and genetic manipulation of fungi
- Hands-on expertise with bacterial, fungal, and yeast systems
- Advanced molecular biology skills including cloning, DNA/RNA manipulation, and organism transformation
- Knowledge of downstream process development and scale-up
- Strong communication and networking abilities
