Educational Requirements for the Quality Technician Role:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Recent graduates in Food Science or related fields
  • Education in food science is preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, GMPs, and SOPs
  • Guide and enforce quality and food safety standards on the production floor
  • Perform GMP and plant audits and correct findings in real time
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and manage product holds
  • Execute quality checks supporting QA programs throughout the facility
  • Ensure compliance with BRC standards through internal audits
  • Perform analytical laboratory calibrations and verifications
  • Conduct analytical testing following standardized laboratory methods
  • In this Quality Technician Role, you have to manage and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) per HACCP requirements
  • Perform packaging inspections during startup and throughout production
  • Conduct changeover inspections using ATP swabs
  • Participate in glass and brittle plastic inspections
  • Review in-process documentation to ensure GDP compliance
  • Proactively identify and suggest process and quality improvements
  • Maintain full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Skills Required for the Quality Technician Role:

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment operation
  • Strong understanding of GMPs and SOPs
  • Familiarity with HACCP, food safety, and quality systems
  • Confident communication and coaching abilities
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to promote teamwork and peer coaching
  • Detail-oriented individuals with strong problem-solving skills are required for the Quality Technician Role.
