Microbiology Job Position Summary
Nestlé is seeking an experienced Microbiology Analyst to join the Microbiology team at the NQAC in York. The team ensures Nestlé products are free from pathogens and safe for consumers, supporting some of the UK’s most loved brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine microbiological testing in a GLP-compliant laboratory environment
- Support ISO 17025 accreditation requirements and proficiency schemes
- Participate in investigations, projects, and internal/external audits
- Assist with laboratory cleaning and waste disposal
- Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely testing services for internal customers
What Will Make You Successful
- Relevant science HND or degree (e.g., Microbiology, Food Science, Biology)
- Previous laboratory testing experience (food microbiology preferred)
- Strong understanding of GLP and routine microbiological methods
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
