Educational Requirements for the QC Associate Role:
- University degree in Quality, Food Science, Agriculture, or Science
- 1–2 years of FMCG experience preferred
Key Responsibilities of the QC Associate:
- Perform and document chemical, physical, and microbiological testing for in-process and finished products
- Conduct testing and release of raw materials and packaging materials
- Carry out wastewater analysis and record results
- Implement hold and release procedures
- Perform internal calibration checks of laboratory instruments
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports
- Participate in investigations related to product issues and customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with PepsiCo Global Standards (GEHSMS)
- Escalate quality issues to the Lab Manager and provide technical recommendations
- Perform sanitation and hygiene testing to meet PI and local authority standards
- Communicate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and implement corrective actions
- Maintain GLP compliance and follow HACCP, ISO, hygiene, and EHS procedures
- Support food safety programs and ensure production of safe, high-quality products
- Participate in trade and retail audits across all distribution centers
- Support cross-functional tasks, including R&D activities, when required
Skills Required for the QC Associate Role:
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, HACCP, ISO, and food safety standards
- Experience in laboratory testing and quality systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Very good English and Arabic verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
