Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or a related life science field
- Background or academic experience in cell biology or mammalian cell culture preferred
Key Responsibilities for Cell Biology Intern Role:
- Develop and optimize cell-based assays using mammalian cells
- Work with skin cell models such as keratinocytes and fibroblasts
- Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments
- Cultivate, maintain, and store human and mammalian cell lines
- Measure cellular responses using analytical techniques
- Design and execute R&D experiments
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation
- Collaborate with Micro Lab and Micro Facility teams
Skills Required for Cell Biology Intern Role:
- Mammalian cell culture experience, especially skin cell lines
- Molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction and RT-PCR
- Aseptic techniques and sterile lab practices
- Cell-based assay development and optimization
- Laboratory equipment handling and safety compliance
- Data presentation using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
