Role Overview
The Clinical Research Specialist (CRS) supports the execution of clinical trials under the direction of a Clinical Study Manager. This role focuses on site preparation, regulatory documentation, data integrity, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant and effective clinical study execution.
The role sits within Study & Scientific Solutions (S&SS), a function of Medtronic Core Clinical Solutions (MC2), which provides clinical and scientific support across Medtronic business units.
A Day in the LifeÂ
- Prepare clinical sites for data collection
- Build and maintain relationships with research coordinators
- Author regulatory reports and clinical documentation
- Perform data cleaning and quality checks
- Support operational execution of clinical trials
Key Responsibilities of Clinical Research Jobs
- Design, plan, and oversee clinical evaluation research studies
- Prepare and author clinical protocols and patient record forms
- Conduct registered and non-registered clinical studies
- Interpret and analyze clinical investigation results for regulatory and commercial applications
- Manage operational aspects of clinical trials in compliance with SOPs, GCP, and country regulations
- Assist with clinical trial budgeting, supply operations, site selection, and vendor coordination
- Represent Medtronic from a clinical research perspective at the regional or country level
- Collect feedback from customers and regulatory authorities
- Drive local evidence dissemination and clinical awareness
- Build strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related scientific field
- Clinical research experience
- Site management experience (site or sponsor side)
- Knowledge of CTMS, EDC, and TMF systems
- Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

- Salary Range (U.S., excluding PR): $83,200 – $124,800 USD
