Educational Requirements for the Laboratory Analyst Role:

Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or an equivalent discipline
Key Responsibilities:
- In Microbiology Jobs, you have to perform routine microbiology testing to high-quality laboratory standards
- Report test results accurately to internal and external customers
- Ensure efficient and effective communication of results using defined processes
- Record, analyse, and present laboratory data using Microsoft Office applications
- Follow laboratory quality systems and procedures in line with ISO standards
- Notify the Microbiology Supervisor of any non-conformances or required corrective actions
- Work independently while strictly adhering to laboratory protocols and procedures
Skills Required for the Laboratory Analyst Role:
- Experience working in a laboratory environment compliant with ISO 17025
- Hands-on experience with a range of microbiology laboratory testing techniques
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a multitasking environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Close attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous experience in the dairy industry and applied microbiology is highly desirable
