Educational Requirements:
2/3-year higher education degree (Bac +2/+3) in Biological Engineering, Molecular Biology, or Biological Analyses
Key Responsibilities of Microbiology Technician Role:
- Organize and conduct microbiology and molecular biology experiments
- Implement and optimize protocols on cheese, fermented plant, and fruit matrices (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid QC)
- Support omics data analysis in collaboration with research scientists
- Develop and validate new analytical methods
- Analyze and interpret experimental results
- Participate in laboratory management (safety, inventory, ordering)
Skills Required for Microbiology Technician Role:
- Knowledge of microbiology (inoculation, isolation, identification)
- Molecular biology skills (nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, sequence analysis)
- Flow cytometry experience is a plus
- Strong organization, autonomy, rigor, and dynamic work ethic
- Prior experience in the agri-food sector is advantageous
