Position Summary
Catalent’s newly launched manufacturing facility on Adair Blvd represents a major expansion of its Zydis® technology, a fast-dissolving oral dosage form that has impacted millions of patients globally. This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team at the forefront of pharmaceutical manufacturing, supporting site startup activities from installation and qualification to regulatory approval and commercial production.
Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the Microbiology Analyst coordinates and performs laboratory activities, including the analysis of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using microbial methods. The Analyst is part of a scientific team contributing to research, development, and quality advancement of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample and test raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using microbial methods from compendia or in-house procedures
- Conduct Environmental Monitoring (EM) sampling and testing
- Perform speciation, growth promotion, and stock culture maintenance
- Monitor and calibrate designated lab equipment routinely
- Maintain adequate levels of laboratory supplies
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and EH&S regulations
- Demonstrate leadership in safety practices and resolve safety-related issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Microbiology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a laboratory analyst, preferably in microbiology
- Experience in a pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility

Compensation for Microbiology Jobs
Salary Range: $48,000 – $61,000 CAD, dependent on experience, skills, education, and business needs
