The Role
Liquid Chromatography is a core analytical and purification technique used to analyze complex sample materials. This internship focuses on analytical chromatography within R&D projects and offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art chromatographic systems.
You will work in an expert laboratory environment specializing in:
- (U)HPLC
- (HP)TLC
- SFC
- Ion Chromatography (IC)
Hyphenated detection techniques including:
- UV/DAD
- RI
- ELSD
- CAD
- Conductivity
- Mass Spectrometry (MS)
Samples span all business sectors, including biopharmaceuticals, advanced display materials, and vaccine components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop novel analytical chromatography methods
- Support sample preparation and optimization strategies
- Analyze and evaluate samples using existing chromatographic methods
- Contribute to R&D projects across multiple business areas
- Document and interpret analytical data
- Option to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis during the internship
Required Qualifications
- Background in Biology, or a related scientific field
- Strong interest in analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Good command of English and/or German
