Educational Requirements for the QA/QC Specialist Role:
- Diploma in Food Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent with 2–5 years of experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR
- An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- As a QA/QC Specialist, you should provide technical support for Quality Assurance activities
- Assist with quality-related activities on the production floor
- Manage document control activities for Quality and FSSC 22000 functional groups in the QA/QC Specialist Role.
- Participate in departmental projects, operational committees, and organizational initiatives
- Support validation duties and internal quality services
- In the QA/QC Specialist Role, you must ensure adherence to company values, quality standards, and food safety requirements
Skills Required for the QA/QC Specialist Role:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, SOPs, GMP, and GLP
- Experience with HACCP, ISO 9001:2008, and FSSC 22000 (asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, graphing, and database tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- The QA/QC Specialist must have an understanding of quality control methodologies and regulatory updates
- Leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Project management knowledge and the ability to work independently
- Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance
