Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Biomolecular Sciences, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience in molecular laboratory activities, preferably in the food sector

Key Responsibilities of Laboratory Specialist Role:

  • Perform accurate DNA-based and ELISA analyses on raw materials, semifinished, and finished products
  • Apply molecular techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and immunoassays for allergen detection
  • Monitor laboratory systems, temperature control, and equipment performance
  • Document, calculate, and report analytical results according to ISO17025 and internal standards
  • Analyze inbound materials and provide alerts for anomalies
  • Prepare samples and calibration standards, monitor method and instrument performance
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Optimize molecular and allergen testing protocols for continuous workflow improvement
  • Collaborate with other FSQ laboratories and partners in Quality, R&D, and Operations
