Educational Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Biomolecular Sciences, or related fields
- Hands-on experience in molecular laboratory activities, preferably in the food sector
Key Responsibilities of Laboratory Specialist Role:
- Perform accurate DNA-based and ELISA analyses on raw materials, semifinished, and finished products
- Apply molecular techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and immunoassays for allergen detection
- Monitor laboratory systems, temperature control, and equipment performance
- Document, calculate, and report analytical results according to ISO17025 and internal standards
- Analyze inbound materials and provide alerts for anomalies
- Prepare samples and calibration standards, monitor method and instrument performance
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Optimize molecular and allergen testing protocols for continuous workflow improvement
- Collaborate with other FSQ laboratories and partners in Quality, R&D, and Operations
