Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekday, weekend, evening, and night shift rosters
- Work across all areas of the Microbiology Department, including:
- Bacteriology
- Serology
- Molecular Microbiology
- Deliver accurate and timely diagnostic results
- Support quality assurance, continuous improvement, and new test development
- Maintain patient confidentiality and a strong customer-focused approach
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science, Applied Science, or equivalent qualification
- Valid Victorian Employee Working With Children Check
- Experience in a clinical diagnostic Microbiology laboratory
- Recognised scientific training with knowledge of:
- Diagnostic methods
- Quality systems
- Laboratory IT systems
Desirable:
- Experience in Molecular Microbiology
