Educational Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a life sciences program
- Strong academic foundation in biochemistry and biology
- Demonstrated academic excellence in biochemistry, physiology, or molecular biology
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Western Blot analysis to quantify MTP protein expression in myocardial tissue in this Cardiology Research Internship at UHN Careers.
- Conduct MTP enzymatic activity assays using established tissue protocols
- Analyze metabolic effects of ischemia-reperfusion injury and treatment interventions
- In this Research Internship, you should prepare detailed data summaries and comparative analysis reports
- Present research findings in formal laboratory seminars
- Contribute to the preparation of a research manuscript for publication
- Apply molecular and biochemical techniques to translational cardiac research in the Research Internship
Skills Required for the Research Internship:
