About NASA Internships

At NASA, we explore the extraordinary every day. Our work is more than a profession—it is a lifelong pursuit and a passion. NASA internships provide students with meaningful, hands-on projects and real-world experience that build confidence, technical skills, and career readiness essential to the nation’s workforce.

Through NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM), paid internships allow college-level students to contribute directly to NASA’s mission in science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration. Interns work side-by-side with mentors including research scientists, engineers, and professionals across many disciplines.

Internships may be full-time or part-time and are offered at NASA centers and facilities across the country.
