Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Master’s degree or PhD in biochemistry, or a related discipline, preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and sustain in-vitro biocompatibility assays in compliance with ISO 10993 and OECD guidance in the Molecular Biology Jobs at Neuralink
- Assist with laboratory equipment setup, calibration, and qualification
- Support general laboratory operations, including equipment management and routine maintenance
- In the Molecular Biology Jobs at Neuralink, you should collaborate with engineering teams on material and chemical agent selection for manufacturing processes
- Prepare toxicological risk assessment reports and biological safety evaluations
- Contribute to FDA and international regulatory submissions
- Own toxicological risk assessment (TRA) processes and develop related SOPs in the Biocompatibility Scientist Role
- Conduct hazard identification, literature reviews, and dose-response assessments
- In this Biocompatibility Scientist Role, you should interpret chemical characterization data and integrate findings into comprehensive biocompatibility assessments
Skills Required:
- Strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, and/or toxicology
- Experience with in-vitro method development
- Proficiency in confocal microscopy
- Knowledge of toxicological risk assessment tools such as the QSAR toolbox and read-across methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to perform thorough scientific literature searches
- Familiarity with ISO 10993 standards and regulatory requirements preferred
- Experience with in vivo models is a plus
