Research Associate Job Summary
BioLegend is seeking a Research Associate – Antibody Development to join the monoclonal antibody development team. The successful candidate will have experience in hybridoma technology, rodent immunization, and immunoassay screening. The role is responsible for developing monoclonal antibodies derived from immunized animals and supporting antibody discovery workflows.
Essential Functions

- Perform rodent handling and immunization
- Conduct immunoassays, including Western blot, ELISA, and flow cytometry
- Perform blood collection and serum isolation
- Conduct tissue collection and harvesting
- Perform hybridoma fusion
- Maintain and support mammalian cell culture
- Prepare cell lysates
- Upload assay results into laboratory databases
- Present assay results during weekly departmental meetings
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as required
Basic QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Natural Sciences
- 0–2+ years of laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Major in Cell Biology, Immunology, or Biotechnology
- 2+ years of experience with Western blots and ELISAs
- Experience with mammalian cell culture
- Experience with rodent handling and immunization
- Experience with hybridoma technology
- Basic knowledge of immunology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Compensation
- The base salary range for this full-time position is $48,000 – $55,000 annually.
- Compensation is determined based on internal equity, work location, skills, experience, and education or training.
- Base pay represents one component of the total compensation package and does not include bonuses, equity, or additional benefits.
