Educational Requirements:
- Actively pursuing a 4-year degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field from an accredited college or university
- Coursework or experience in a general biology laboratory is required
- Microbiology laboratory experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in Environmental Monitoring activities within controlled environments in this Microbiology Internship in the USA
- Assist with microbiological testing, including microbial identification
- Support sterility testing activities (Sterility 6-S)
- Collect water samples for microbiological analysis
- In this Microbiology Internship, you should assist with activities related to the Contamination Control Strategy
- Organize and maintain batch records according to laboratory procedures
- Perform data entry and assist with data review under supervision
- Learn equipment calibration processes and laboratory compliance requirements
- Stock laboratory supplies and assist with inventory management
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Microbiology laboratory
Skills Required:
- Understanding of standard operating procedures and cGMPs/cGLPs
- Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and procedures
