Educational Requirements for the Research Associate Role:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related scientific field
- 0–3 years of industry experience in a related field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct R&D experiments related to Microbial Solutions products and services in this Research Associate Job at Charles River Laboratories
- Analyze and summarize experimental data with attention to detail
- Present experimental results to internal and external stakeholders
- Use scientific literature to plan and troubleshoot R&D projects
- Support responses to customer, QA, Operations, and field-support inquiries

Skills Required:

- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and phylogenetic analysis (desirable)
- Experience with microbial identification technology (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong documentation and analytical skills
