Educational Requirements for this Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR a MLS degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Prior Microbiology experience.
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing in accordance with established criteria in this Microbiology Job at Labcorp Careers.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.

- Report test results accurately and in a timely manner to support quality patient care.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
