Educational Requirements for this Job:
- Tertiary qualification in a scientific discipline (preferred for Microbiology role) OR Equivalent laboratory experience
- Suitable for part-time students studying a science-related course
Key Responsibilities:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Assist in the daily operations of the Microbiology or Agro Testing departments in this Laboratory Technician Job in New Zealand.
- Receive and process food, dairy, meat, environmental, soil, plant, and fertilizer samples
- Conduct accurate sample analysis according to customer and accreditation requirements
- Process and test samples within allowable time and temperature holding limits
- Maintain inventory and preserve sample integrity after testing as a Laboratory Technician at Eurofins Careers
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times
- Operate according to the company’s Quality and Procedures manuals
- Maintain laboratory equipment and physical lab conditions
- Promote health and safety standards
