Assistant Scientist Position Overview

The Assistant Scientist will support product innovation and development at the North America Innovation Center. The role focuses on assisting with formulation, testing, and commercialization of new beverage products while ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create Prototypes & Formulations – Execute lab-scale recipes under supervision while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company protocols.
  • Test, Learn, Improve – Conduct sensory, analytical, and shelf-life testing in collaboration with microbiology and stability teams.
  • Scale Up for Market – Assist with pilot and commercial production trials, ensuring compatibility of processes and packaging.
  • Maintain Laboratory Standards – Ensure lab equipment is maintained properly and follow safety, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Business and System Understanding – Develop knowledge of company operations, market trends, bottling and syrup processes, and global supply chains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, or a related field
  • Ability to understand team objectives and execute assigned tasks according to project priorities
  • Demonstrate curiosity and contribute ideas within established frameworks
  • Apply standard scientific tools and methods with guidance
  • Solve routine technical problems using established procedures
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Ability to make decisions within defined guidelines and escalate when necessary
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel regionally (10–15%)
