Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new software and data production pipelines for the UniProt database in the Bioinformatics Job at EMBL-EBI in the UK.
- Maintain and optimize production pipeline scripts and software modules.
- Organize, execute, monitor, and troubleshoot daily production procedures.
- Assess and implement new technologies to improve the database production environment in this Hybrid Bioinformatics Job.
- Conduct data collection, preprocessing, and analysis using visualization techniques.
- As a Bioinformatics Scientist, you should evaluate and propose solutions for biological data challenges within production workflows in this Hybrid Job.

Educational Requirements for this Job:
Candidates should have a degree in one of the following fields
- Life Sciences

Skills Required:
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java.
- Experience building computational pipelines using workflow systems such as Nextflow.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database design principles.
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.
- Familiarity with source code management systems like Git.
