Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational teams and ensure the timely completion of field and nursery operations in this Research Associate Job at Syngenta in Mexico.
  • Oversee activities including planting, seed reception, pollination, detasseling, tissue sampling, data collection, and harvesting.
  • Develop and manage Integrated Pest Management (IPM), precision irrigation programs, and plant nutrition strategies.
  • Supervise scouting activities, pest bioassays, and farm management agronomic practices in this Research Associate Job at Syngenta Careers.
  • Ensure high seed quantity and quality standards while following safety and HSE requirements.

Educational Requirements for this Job:

  • Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree (preferred) in Agriculture, Crop Science, or related biological fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Plant Breeding, Crop Science, or a related scientific discipline.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of crop research, seed production, and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience or understanding of corn seed production.
  • Knowledge of agronomic practices such as irrigation, planting, pest control, and pesticide application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adapt schedules to support critical agricultural operations.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders and operational teams.
