Role Summary
The Scientist I – Microbiology role involves performing essential analyses to ensure product quality and safety. The individual contributes to meaningful work that supports global health, safety, and environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
- Perform media preparation and maintain microbial cultures.
- Identify microorganisms and conduct environmental monitoring.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Document and analyse test results in compliance with quality standards.
- Contribute to method development and validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements for Microbiology Job
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferred fields: Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific discipline
Experience:
No prior microbiology laboratory experience required
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and aseptic techniques
- Proficiency in microbiological testing methods including environmental monitoring, growth promotion, and microbial identification
- Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
- Familiarity with LIMS/SAP systems preferred
