Qualifications
Scientific assistant job applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or equivalent
- Excellent laboratory skills, including proficiency in pipetting, documentation, and procedures
- Good computer knowledge
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English language
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and resolve complex problems
- Ability to develop and follow protocols and procedures and complete tasks in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
Scientific assistant job responsibilities include:
- Scientific project management for assay and device validation including respective documentation
- Planning and conduction of validation lab activities according to validation plans and staining order forms
- Generation and analysis of data obtained from validation testing (MS Office & lab journals)
- Preparation and review of SOP/INS/FORMs and training of lab staff
- Execute lab tasks & maintain laboratory equipment
- Ordering of reagents, lab consumables, devices etc.
- Work in a regulated GCLP environment with a Laboratory Information and Management Software (LIMS)
- Processing of FFPE samples / execution and documentation of IHC, ISH other tissue-based tests
- Preparation of Tissue Micro Arrays (TMAs)
- Preparation of substrate solutions, buffer solutions and other reagents
- Preparation and post-processing of internal and external audits and monitoring visits
