Qualifications
Research Associate Job applicants should meet the following educational and skill requirements:
- BSc (2:1 or higher) with industrial/academic research experience or MSc or higher degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Cell Biology, Immunology or Natural Sciences
- Enthusiasm for drug discovery and development research
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Knowledge of cell biology techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA and fluorescence microscopy
- Experience with functional antibody screening methods
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Attention to detail and efficiency
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills
Desirable Skills

- Day-to-day laboratory management as part of the team e.g. maintaining a safe and clean working laboratory environment, re-ordering laboratory consumables
- Establishing and maintaining quality sample archives
- Gathering, analysing and presenting data from a variety of sources to the wider team and organization
- Critical and impartial review of self and peer generated laboratory data
- Maintenance of laboratory experimental records
