Microbiology Lab Technician Jobs – Key Responsibilities
As a Microbiology Technician, your daily tasks are vital to the safety and efficacy of Traferox’s medical devices. In the landscape of Microbiology Lab Technician Jobs, this role is heavily focused on environmental monitoring and rigorous contamination control.
- Environmental Monitoring: Perform critical viable and non-viable sampling of cleanrooms and other controlled manufacturing areas.
- Sample Collection & Testing: Collect surface, air, personnel, water, and compressed gas samples. You will execute routine testing, including bioburden, endotoxin, and microbial limits.
- Data & Sample Management: Receive, label, store, and track sterility testing samples. This Microbiology Job requires you to maintain immaculate records, coordinate with external third-party laboratories, and enter data into approved spreadsheets.
- Quality Assurance Support: Escalate Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT), and contamination events to management. You will also support investigations and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation.
- Inventory & Compliance: Maintain the inventory of microbiology supplies, media, and reagents while strictly following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
