Bioinformatics Intern Description

Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s student in a quantitative field including:
- Data Science
- Biostatistics
- Bioinformatics
- Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities.
- Experience working with large datasets using Python.

Bioinformatics Intern – Key Responsibilities
Bioinformatics Intern responsibilities include supporting the development, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning solutions for healthcare analytics.
- End-to-end ML delivery including data curation, feature design, modeling, validation, CI/CD deployment, and monitoring.
- Productionization activities such as containerization, model serving, performance tuning, rollout strategies, and observability including drift detection, performance monitoring, and alerts.
- Model governance activities including reproducibility, versioning, bias and fairness checks, and audit-ready documentation.
- Integration of advanced analytics and machine learning models into business products and services, including business intelligence dashboards and real-time analytics.
- Curation of datasets from Quest and non-Quest data sources to generate business insights through advanced analytics.
- Partnering with clinicians and product owners to define outcomes, acceptance criteria, and validation plans.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
