Biology Internship Details
Labcorp is hiring an Intern – Assistant Scientist (Immunology and Immunotoxicology) for its laboratory operations team in Shanghai, China. The role involves supporting the Global Immunology and Immunotoxicology department in conducting immunology and immunotoxicology studies, laboratory testing, quality control activities, scientific data analysis, and regulatory compliance. Interns will receive training across multiple laboratory functions while assisting with research studies, methodology validation, documentation, and scientific projects that support early development safety assessments and client requirements.
Biology Internship –Â Key Responsibilities
- Participating in all procedures in the operational areas of I&I, including Immunology assays, metrology, and general laboratory support duties.
- Assisting the I&I team with some involvement in specialist functions and projects within the department.
- Completing all university requirements on time and meeting Labcorp standards.
- Displaying appropriate revenue-generating awareness during duties.
- Supporting other Immunology and scientific activities and maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Understanding and complying with all departmental and company policies.
- Ensuring the quality/timeliness of personal work meets required standards.
- Maintaining accurate and timely completed training records.
- Participating in all appropriate internal/external training and education activities.
- Performing studies in accordance with regulatory, productivity, and timescale requirements.
- Ensuring studies meet standards and timelines, updating the Senior Operations Manager and Senior Scientists on performance.
- Documenting quality control results, recognizing and communicating trends with Senior Scientists.
- Providing, analyzing, and discussing scientific data collected during specialized testing.
- Understanding GLP/GCP/SOPs, study plans/protocols, and methods, working in strict accordance with them.
- Complying with company and departmental safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Immunology/Biology.
