Biotechnologist Job Description
Biotechnologist job opportunities at GSK are offered through the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) – Attach-and-Train Programme for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives and Professionals. This programme is designed to develop the next generation of skilled professionals for Singapore’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The training programme consists of 15 months of structured on-the-job training at GSK’s manufacturing facility in Tuas, Singapore.
As a Biotechnologist, you will participate in preparation, operation, and completion of assigned process stages to ensure the production of bulk drug substances within established quality and timing standards. You will also maintain production facilities according to cGMP, safety, and environmental requirements.

- Adhere to cGMP and safety requirements.
- Maintain 5S standards and ensure proper housekeeping of production facilities.
- Support utilities sampling and environmental monitoring activities in cleanrooms.
- Assist in batch processing activities.
- Operate process systems including: Washing cabinets, Autoclaves, Fermenters, Harvest vessels, Microfluidizers, Mobile vessels
- Operate and maintain equipment such as: Magnetic stirrers, Viscometers, pH meters, Conductivity meters, Turbidity meters, Osmometers
