Remote Clinical Research Internship Description

Clinical research internship participants will work as Clinical Research Data Entry Interns during an 8-week remote internship beginning in mid-July. This internship in US offers practical experience in clinical research operations, data management, and quality assurance while supporting oncology research programs.

Interns will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of clinical and operational data, ensuring research documentation meets quality and compliance standards. The internship is fully remote within the United States. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Qualifications

Remote clinical research internship applicants should meet the following qualifications:

Required

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Interest in clinical research, healthcare, or data management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Previous administrative, research, or data entry experience (academic or professional).
  • Familiarity with clinical research processes, Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, or healthcare environments.
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA and data privacy standards.

Remote Clinical Research Internship – Key Responsibilities

Clinical research interns will be responsible for:

  • Accurately enter and update clinical and operational data into internal systems and databases.
  • Review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with organizing, maintaining, and digitizing research documentation and records.
  • Support data validation and quality control processes in compliance with research protocols.
  • Generate basic reports and summaries to support research teams.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, clinical, and proprietary information.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
