Clinical research job responsibilities involve ensuring that the rights, safety, and wellbeing of clinical trial participants are protected while maintaining accurate, complete, and verifiable clinical trial data.
The Clinical Research Associate (CRA) serves as the primary contact between investigational sites, Novotech, and sponsors. The role focuses on site relationship management and ensuring that clinical trials are conducted according to ICH-GCP guidelines, local and global regulatory requirements, and Novotech/client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position is based in Sydney with hybrid work flexibility, helping employees achieve a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications & Experience
Clinical research job applicants should meet the following requirements:
Education
Graduate in a clinical or life sciences-related field. Relevant experience or qualifications in allied professions may also be considered.
Experience
- CRA II: Minimum 6 months of independent CRA monitoring experience.
- CRA III: Minimum 2 years of independent CRA monitoring experience.
Required Skills
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, or related fields.
- Full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Clinical Research Job – Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with Principal Investigators, Study Coordinators, Pharmacists, and site trial personnel.
- Ensure efficient, smooth, and timely management of clinical trials.
- Foster internal and external customer relationships for successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with the In-house Clinical Research Associate (IHCRA) and Regulatory Start-Up Associate (RSA) to prepare essential site documents.
- Support ethics and regulatory submission and approval processes.
- Work with the Regulatory Start-up (RSU) Team to understand local and international regulatory requirements.
- Ensure participant recruitment meets site targets.
- Drive recruitment and engagement initiatives and maintain site-specific recruitment plans.
- Perform monitoring visits according to ICH-GCP guidelines.
- Conduct Site Selection, Site Initiation, Site Monitoring, Site Close-Out, pharmacy monitoring, and co-monitoring visits.
- Perform monitoring visits onsite or remotely according to the Clinical Monitoring Plan (CMP).
