Pharmacovigilance Intern Description
Pharmacovigilance Intern is responsible for undertaking specified pharmacovigilance (PV) activities, including assigned projects, under the supervision of a manager or designated pharmacovigilance colleague. Activities apply across supported countries and may vary depending on the assigned responsibilities.
The intern will assist with the execution of local pharmacovigilance processes, adverse event case management, safety documentation, regulatory compliance, and other PV-related activities while supporting MSD’s commitment to patient safety.
Qualifications
Pharmacovigilance Intern applicants should possess the following educational qualifications:
- Degree in Life Science, Medical Science, or equivalent.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of AE reporting and pharmacovigilance regulations is an advantage.
- Fluent in English with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with patient safety, pharmacovigilance, data analysis, project management, and product quality complaints is preferred.
Pharmacovigilance Intern – Key Responsibilities
- Support local pharmacovigilance (PV) processes and activities.
- Assist with adverse event case intake, tracking, follow-up, and documentation.
- Maintain and archive safety and regulatory records.
- Report adverse events (AEs) and product quality complaints (PQCs) in compliance with company policies.
- Complete all required pharmacovigilance training.
- Assist with literature screening and other assigned PV activities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager or designated PV colleague.
