Microbiology Trainee Description
Microbiology Trainee professionals will become members of the Eurofins PSS QCL group within the client environment, supporting technical and analytical laboratory activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and compliance. The role offers practical experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical laboratory while contributing to microbiological testing and supporting laboratory operations.
Qualifications
Microbiology Trainee qualifications include:
- Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical laboratory.
- Knowledge of GMP, quality standards, and laboratory compliance.
- Strong organisational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and customer service skills.

Microbiology Trainee – Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing.
- Prepare, review, and approve test results within competency.
- Complete QC activities and report out-of-specification results.
- Maintain accurate laboratory, training, and quality records.
- Follow GMP, SOPs, and quality procedures to ensure Right First Time execution.
- Participate in training and stay updated on laboratory methods.
- Support customer queries, investigations, and laboratory operations.
- Assist with documentation, consumables processing, and verification activities.
- Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement standards.
- Provide team support, including weekend and overtime coverage when required.
