Life Sciences Internship Description
Life Sciences Internship applicants will begin with an internship and continue into a Master’s thesis project within the Integrative Biomarkers and Nanotools research group at the Leipzig site starting in October 2026.
The project focuses on studying the morphomechanical properties of different cell types. Changes in cell morphology and mechanical characteristics can serve as early indicators of cognitive and chronic diseases, often before conventional molecular biomarkers become detectable. The selected candidate will conduct morphomechanical analyses of cells to help identify potential diagnostic approaches based on observed cellular properties.
