Research Assistant Job Description

Research Assistant role professionals will support laboratory operations and contribute to advanced cardiovascular research projects involving molecular biology, cellular biology, RNA sequencing, and computational biology. The role combines laboratory management, experimental research, and scientific documentation within a multidisciplinary research team.

Required Qualifications

Research Assistant Job applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Molecular Life Sciences or a related discipline such as Biology, or Biomedicine
  • Strong experience with laboratory techniques in molecular and/or cellular biology
  • Experience working with animal models and expertise in organ dissection
  • Strong background in immunofluorescent staining for imaging vascular structures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience and/or interest in bioinformatics or computational biology
  • German language skills are an advantage

Key Responsibilities

Research Assistant Job responsibilities include:

  • Conduct ex vivo experimental research using large animal models (primarily mouse and minipig models)
