Microbiology Job Description

The Microbiology Laboratory Technician will be responsible for reviewing all relevant SOPs/test methods and ensuring compliance with global and regulatory requirements. This role includes executing current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and current good laboratory practices (cGLP) in day-to-day activities.

Eligibility Criteria for the Microbiology Job

  • BSc in Microbiology or related scientific discipline.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards.
  • Good understanding of microbiological techniques and methods.
  • Computer skills including Word and Excel; familiarity with LIMs is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Comply with global and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain GLP during environmental sampling and waste control.
  • Conduct environmental sampling throughout the plant.
  • Perform product testing using microbiological test methods.
  • Carry out in-process testing and assist with new product trials.
  • Monitor stock levels of test consumables and report ordering needs.
  • Provide training to new team members and document training delivered.
