Biotech Research Job Description

The biotech research job involves supporting research projects within the Biotechnology Research (BTR) team, specifically in Molecular Technology Development. The Assistant Researcher will work closely with researchers and international colleagues to apply molecular technologies for identifying genetic variation and generating insights that aid breeding decisions. Eligibility Criteria for the Biotech Research Job

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, or a related field.

  • Applying molecular technologies, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), to investigate genetic variation in crops.
  • Analyzing, documenting, and discussing experimental results with (Senior) Researchers and project teams.
  • Assisting in the optimization and implementation of molecular protocols, methods, and techniques (including liquid handling automation systems).
  • Contributing to research that supports breeding programs and the development of improved vegetable varieties.
  • Staying informed about scientific developments and relevant literature in molecular genetics and biotechnology.
