Scientific Publication Lead Job Description
As the Publication Lead, the individual will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality evidence communications for Astellas-sponsored research. This position involves driving clear, compelling scientific storytelling across publications and congress materials for assigned brands, ensuring effective dissemination of evidence to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
Eligibility Criteria for Scientific Publication Lead
- Master’s degree in life sciences or related field (PhD preferred) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Communications, including scientific content development and review.
- Strong ability to translate complex clinical data into clear, compelling scientific narratives and storytelling.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global stakeholders in an agile working environment.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial design, drug development, and interpretation of scientific data.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for non-promotional content and publication standards (e.g. GPP, ICMJE).
Scientific Publication Lead – Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan and collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align on strategy and execution.
- Manage content development timelines, vendors, and budgets while ensuring high-quality, compliant outputs.
- Ensure all scientific communications meet internal SOPs and external guidelines (GPP, ICMJE) and resolve complex review feedback.
- Monitor dissemination impact metrics and continuously optimize content strategy based on insights.
