AbbVie Scientist Job Description
The Scientist 1 will be an integral part of AbbVie’s oncology drug-discovery biotherapeutics team. The role involves developing and optimizing complex bioassays and target-binding potency assays for biotherapeutics. The scientist will investigate and identify new methods to generate reliable and reproducible data, explore innovative approaches and technologies, troubleshoot issues, and present findings to cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role includes reading and adapting scientific literature and authoring technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and biology sections of regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize complex bioassays and target-binding potency assays for biotherapeutics.
- Investigate, identify, and develop new methods to generate reliable, reproducible data.

- Read and adapt scientific literature; author technical reports and SOPs.

Eligibility Criteria for AbbVie Scientist job
- Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, cell/molecular biology, pharmacology, toxicology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a development scientist.
- Experience developing binding potency assays (ELISA, TR-FRET, Octet, flow cytometry, cell-based) for mAbs, ADCs, or biologics.
- Ability to independently design experiments in a matrixed oncology discovery organization.
- Not a senior/director/principal/head role.
- Experience in biotech outside India is preferred.
