Eurofins Scientist Job Description
The Associate Scientist prepares and/or analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to approved scientific methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This Eurofins scientist job may require standing for long periods, working with organic solvents, laboratory glassware, and specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs, including:
- Preparation of samples using standard techniques
- Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
- Evaluation and quantification of data
- Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
- Performing routine instrument maintenance
- Competency in complex instrumentation instrument specific software (training is provided)
- Responsible for keeping personal training documentation current and accurate
- Responsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples
- As required, documents NCMs for projects with quality issues
- Understands and utilizes backlog reports to manage personal workload
- Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
- Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
Entry-Level Scientist Eligibility
- BS or BA in Biology, Environmental Science or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency with computers
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities

Pay rate: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential. Eurofins provides a compensation range for informational purposes; the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience and skill set.
