Genomics Lab Technician Job Description
The Laboratory Technician I will perform essential laboratory activities within an assigned stage of the sample processing workflow. This includes sample preparation, DNA extraction, sequencing or amplification steps, and downstream processing in accordance with established procedures. The technician will also handle biological samples, operate laboratory equipment, and maintain accurate records while adhering to quality standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Associate’s degree preferred in a relevant field such as Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
- 0–1 years of laboratory experience preferred, with familiarity in molecular biology techniques.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to operate automated liquid handling systems and robotic platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
Laboratory Technician – Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory activities including sample preparation and DNA extraction.
