Quality Control Technician Job Summary
A motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician is sought for a 6-month temporary assignment. In this QC technician role, the technician will support Quality Control and validation activities by performing environmental monitoring, in-process testing, raw material release testing, and laboratory documentation. This position plays a direct role in ensuring product quality and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least 6 months of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, Microbiology laboratory, or related scientific field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of microbiology laboratory techniques and practices.
- Experience working within quality systems and cGMP-regulated environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical and scientific report-writing abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute the environmental monitoring program for cleanroom environments.
- Perform Quality Control testing, including:
- In-Process Testing
- Bioburden Testing
- Growth Promotion Testing
- Raw Material Release Testing
- Release raw materials and maintain reference sample inventories.
- Support process validation activities and projects.
- Record samples, test results, and laboratory data in laboratory software systems.
- Maintain compliance with quality systems, SOPs, and cGMP requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives and project teams.
- Assist with laboratory documentation and recordkeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
