St. Jude Researcher Job Description
In the St. Jude Researcher Job, the Researcher at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will assist in the design and execution of experiments involving metabolomics, stable isotope tracing, and functional assays in genetic and preclinical murine models. The role includes collaboration with postdoctoral fellows and research specialists, contributing to experimental design, assay development, optimization, and data processing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory experiments as directed using specific and prescribed techniques/protocols.
- Follows basic protocols, implementing experimental techniques prescribed by supervisor and providing basic troubleshooting where appropriate.
- Accurately records experimental procedures and data.
- May draft results/data for posters, presentations or publications.
- Operates lab equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the goals of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Eligibility Criteria For St. Jude Researcher Job
- BS/MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in experimental design, assay optimization, and data analysis preferred.
- Interest in or experience with developmental biology and/or cancer biology.
- Experience with murine model techniques preferred.
- Self-motivated researcher who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation
St. Jude is providing a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role, which is between $24.00 – $42.00 per hour. This estimate is offered in good faith and actual salary offers will consider factors such as skill sets, experience, and organizational needs.
