Job Description
The Researcher will assist in the design and execution of metabolism-focused experiments, supporting the use of metabolomics, stable isotope tracing, and functional assays in genetic and preclinical murine models. This role involves close collaboration with postdoctoral fellows and research specialists, contributing to experimental design, assay development, optimization, and data processing and analysis. The position offers opportunities for technical skill development and hands-on training while working with multidisciplinary research teams.
Research Jobs – Key Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory experiments as directed using specific and prescribed techniques/protocols.
- Follows basic protocols, implementing experimental techniques prescribed by supervisor and providing basic troubleshooting where appropriate.
- Accurately records experimental procedures and data.
- May draft results/data for posters, presentations or publications.
- Operates lab equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Research Jobs
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific area is required.
Required Skills
- BS/MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in experimental design, assay optimization, and data analysis preferred.
- Interest in or experience with developmental biology and/or cancer biology.
- Experience with murine model techniques preferred.
- Self-motivated researcher who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $24.00 – $42.00 per hour for the role of Researcher- Min Ni’s Lab.
